Peer Review Process

SLIC employs a structured double-blind peer review system to ensure academic rigor and impartial evaluation.

  1. Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation within 7 days to determine:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Compliance with submission guidelines
  • Basic scholarly standards
  • Similarity screening results

Manuscripts that fail to meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage.

  1. Similarity Check

All submissions are screened using the Samim Noor Similarity Detection System before entering peer review.

  1. Double-Blind Peer Review

Qualified manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

Reviewers assess:

  • Originality
  • Theoretical and analytical rigor
  • Scholarly contribution
  • Clarity and coherence
  1. Revision Stage

Authors receiving revision decisions must submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response to reviewer comments.

  1. Final Decision

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ reports and editorial assessment.

Average Timeline

The average duration from submission to final decision is approximately two months.

Appeals

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a written request to the editorial office.
