Studies in Literature and Culture: from Theory to Practice (SLIC) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the University of Qom, Iran. The journal is dedicated to the advancement of scholarly research in literary and cultural studies through rigorous theoretical, analytical, and interdisciplinary approaches.
SLIC is published on a semiannual basis (two issues per year) and operates under a double-blind peer review system. All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening within 7 days, followed by a full peer review process. The average time from submission to final decision is approximately two months.
All published articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure permanent accessibility and reliable citation. The journal provides immediate open access to all published content.
Manuscripts are screened for originality using the Samim Noor Similarity Detection System prior to peer review to ensure academic integrity and compliance with ethical publishing standards.
SLIC aims to promote scholarly dialogue between literary theory and cultural practice while maintaining transparency, editorial independence, and adherence to international publication ethics standards.
